Nomination Process

Incomplete forms may not be considered by the committee.

The Milestones Committee will not review more than two additional pages (resume, bio, reference letters etc…).

Please ensure nominations are made in strict confidence. We appreciate your effort to not inform the nominee that she is being considered for this award. All nominations are due by November 30, 2020.

Criteria for selection include: unique, exemplary achievements in her field, serves as a role model for women in the community, and lives a life consistent with the YWCA mission of empowering women, eliminating racism and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all.

All questions must be answered in completion for consideration. We will ask you to include a maximum of three letters of recommendation. We will also ask for a resume detailing her career and leadership achievements.

All selected honorees will need to be available for:

  • the announcement press conference and pre-conference honoree meeting
  • a videotaped interview to be played at the luncheon
  • a professional photo shoot
  • The Milestones Awards Luncheon in March 2021 and pre-luncheon reception

The Milestones selection committee will notify the selected honorees personally. Notification of non-selected nominees will be sent via email to the nominator.
