Racial Justice Workshops

Below are the pilot series of workshops that we are offering to the community:

YWCA Northwest Ohio offers series of 2 hour workshops that start developing the foundation of understanding the System of Racial Inequity.

Workshop focuses include:

Location: YWCA Northwest Ohio (1018 Jefferson St.)

Fee: $25 per workshop 

Time: 1.30pm-3.30pm

 

In addition to overview workshops, YWCA Northwest Ohio offers half day foundation workshops.

Workshop focuses include:

  • Understanding Racial Trauma
  • Understanding Racial Identity
  • Understanding Implicit Bias
  • Understanding the System of Inequity

Location: YWCA Northwest Ohio (1018 Jefferson St.)

Fee: $50 per workshop

Time: 11.30am-3.30pm

Registration will be available at the end of February. 

Building upon the foundation workshops, we offer full day workshops that work to dismantle racism.

This series is in current development and will be offered in 3rd quarter of 2020.

  • The community room is located at the Main Library Parking Garage entrance or in the basement of the Main Library (if coming from main entrance).
  • Parking is free for 2 hours in the Main Library Parking Garage.
