MARK YOUR CALENDARS! MILESTONES: A TRIBUTE TO WOMEN IS ALMOST HERE

Mark your calendar for Wednesday, March 27, at the Seagate Center. There’s still time for your business to advertise in the program or for you to purchase tickets for the YWCA’s annual Milestones: A Tribute to Women.The 2019 awardees are, for science, Mary Fedderke, recently retired director of institutional advancement at the Toledo Zoo, and, for social services, Robin Reese, executive director of Lucas County Children Services. Other awardees are, for education, Lynn Fisher, founder and head of school at Westside Montessori, and, for the arts, Jean Holden, who has been called “Toledo’s First Lady of Song.”Other Milestone winners are, for contributions to government, Justice Judith Ann Lanzinger, former associate justice of the Ohio State Supreme Court, and, in business, Suzette Cowell, CEO of the Toledo Urban Federal Credit Union. Alexis Staples, executive director of Toledo Pride and board member of Equality Toledo, will receive a Milestone award for volunteerism.
