BLACK HISTORY MONTH

ENCOURAGING DIALOGUE TO CHANGEDuring February, Black History Month, the YWCA invites local businesses or community organizations to schedule a facilitator-led Dialogue to Change program.Developed by the late Reverend Karen Shepler and the Toledo Community Coalition to address institutional racism, Dialogue to Change invites participants to discuss and examine racism from different points of view.In this time of heightened racial and ethnic division, Dialogue to Change gives participants opportunities to explore attitudes and beliefs that separate people and fragment communities. You can choose to enroll in one-day programs last for eight hours, or elect to participate in an extended program that has six 90-minute sessions.
